Matcha tea is made from high grade green tea leaves ground into a fine powder. Unlike a steeped leaf cup of tea, with matcha you are consuming the entire leaf. This makes a single serving much higher in caffeine, equal to that of coffee. Great for drinking on its own, hot or iced, or even used as an ingredient to make matcha lattes.
